Following a recent query about acceptable head coverings in photos submitted with passport applications, Members may be interested in the attached visual guidelines provided by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) who set the international standards for passports world-wide. ICAO Doc 9303 sets the specifications for every aspect of passports including photos (Appendix 11 to Section IV).
